Ann
Stein-Aaron
Anne Stein-Aarons artistic
reality plays across her paintings like a kaleidoscope of continually
shifting perspectives and vibrant colors. Whether capturing the essence
of pines bent to the shore, or the early morning warmth of a glassy
cove, Stein-Aaron sees Maines landscape with a vision that smoothly
slides from exterior surfaces to interior energies.
In her search for the inherent
nature of her subject matter, Stein-Aaron pushes the eye to look beyond
the readily apparent.
As she says "I feel
a painting should give the viewer a sense of place without being slavish
to it. It succeeds if my reality becomes the viewers truth."
